Risman Adnan received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. in theoretical physics, and the Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Universitas Indonesia, in 1998, 2000, and 2021, respectively. Starting in 2004, he spent ten years as the Director of the Developer Ecosystem at Microsoft Indonesia. He joined Samsung Research and Development Indonesia (SRIN), as the Chief Technology Officer to incubate and nurture AI, IoT, and Cloud technology competencies, in 2014.
He joined Kalbe Digital Lab as the Digital Technology Director in 2023. His research interests include theoretical physics, machine learning, and quantum computing.
Edwin Simjaya is an AI expert and currently serves as the Head of AI & Software Center. With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and notable achievements in the field, Edwin has established himself as a professional in AI.
Notably, he led the implementation of an AI Augmented Nutrigenomic Algorithm utilizing Large Language Models (LLM), revolutionizing the field. Additionally, Edwin manages Kalbe Digital University content and implementation and has delivered key projects for internal Kalbe.
Farrel is a passionate AI and Machine Learning enthusiast with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering and distinction from the Google Bangkit Machine Learning Cohort. With hands-on experience as an AI Engineer at PT Kalbe Farma, Farrel also led innovative projects like a Hospital System Chatbot and lung cancer classification models. He is driven to leverage his technical expertise in Python, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and others to make a significant impact in the AI healthcare industry.
Selvia is an AI Engineer exploring diverse bioinformatics tools and platforms. She contributes to Nextflow development through several initiatives, including creating tutorial series, performing demonstrations at University of Indonesia, and implementing various genomic pipelines. As a continuous learner, she strives to improve her knowledge in bioinformatics through collaboration and practical implementation.
Putri is a Bioinformatics Engineer with a strong passion for genomics and bioinformatics, transitioning from her microbiology wet lab research background. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Medical Genomics at the Department of Molecular Genetics, University of Toronto.
In 2021, she collaborated with engineering students on an Arduino-based project presented in Turkey, which earned the Best International Invention Award. This experience sparked her interest in biotechnology.
In 2023, she participated in a Hackathon, further deepening her enthusiasm to learn programming and its applications in genomics and bioinformatics.
Chen is an AI Engineer specializing in healthcare and bioinformatics with a strong track record of global collaborations, including projects with the United Nations and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Chen’s achievements include winning the BioFarma x MIT Hacking Medicine Competition for developing a Medication Consultation Chatbot and earning first place in the Student Presentation at the 8th International Conference on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2023. Certified in Deep Learning for Healthcare, Chen has conducted extensive research in radiology and oncology through AI applications.
