Edwin Simjaya is an AI expert and currently serves as the Head of the AI & Software Center. With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and notable achievements in the field, Edwin has established himself as a professional in AI.
Notably, he led the CDT team in implementing AI, software, and Digital Twin use cases across manufacturing sites. Additionally, Edwin manages Kalbe Digital University content and implementation and has delivered key projects for internal Kalbe.
Miftahul Tirta Irawan
Engineering Lead, digital twin
Tirta, as an Engineering Lead in Kalbe Digital Twin (KDT), established and scaled the ecosystem by creating a four-stream organization spanning IoT, CAE, System Simulation, and Mechatronics/Robotics within Corporate Digital Technology (CDT) at Kalbe Group. Specializing in structured digitalization and simulation-led optimization, Tirta is responsible for leading the simulation-based digital twin ecosystem and working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovation. A notable achievement during his tenure was orchestrating 4 cross-functional innovation teams that led 2 teams to become finalists (top 10), while the other 2 teams won 1st and 2nd place at the Kalbe Group Innovation Convention 2025, translating R&D into recognized business value.

Genta, as an Engineering Co-Lead and IoT & Mechatronics Engineer, dedicates his expertise to Corporate Digital Technology (CDT). Specializing in IoT and robotics solutions, he integrates hardware devices, microcontroller systems, and communication protocols to drive digital transformation. Genta is responsible for crafting scalable embedded system architectures and applying advanced signal processing to enhance data-driven solutions. Additionally, acting as a CAD Engineer, he provides crucial support in designing precision 3D models and mechanical components for digital twin development to optimize operational efficiency. His work with cross-functional teams has supported digital healthcare initiatives and contributed to the development of innovative systems. In this workshop, he will share his expertise in mechatronics.
Jason Calviano
IoT & Mechatronics Engineer
Jason, as an IoT & Embedded Systems Engineer, dedicates his expertise to Corporate Digital Technology (CDT). Specializing in IoT integration and embedded system development, he bridges industrial hardware with modern digital platforms by applying a hands-on approach to technical problem-solving. Jason is responsible for deploying TCP bridge communication pipelines for industrial instrumentation, developing AI-powered smart HVAC systems leveraging computer vision and microcontroller architectures, and conducting robotics simulation experiments using Rust and ROS2 with industrial protocols such as MQTT and Modbus. His foundational work in embedded systems and IoT connectivity directly supports Kalbe's digital healthcare initiatives by ensuring reliable, scalable data flow from the factory floor to the enterprise ecosystem. In this workshop, he will share his technical insights into IoT integration and embedded systems development.
