Edwin Simjaya is an AI expert and currently serves as the Head of the AI & Software Center. With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and notable achievements in the field, Edwin has established himself as a professional in AI.
Notably, he led the CDT team in implementing AI, software, and Digital Twin use cases across manufacturing sites. Additionally, Edwin manages Kalbe Digital University content and implementation and has delivered key projects for internal Kalbe.
Miftahul Tirta Irawan
Engineering Lead, digital twin
Tirta, as an Engineering Lead in Kalbe Digital Twin (KDT), established and scaled the ecosystem by creating a four-stream organization spanning IoT, CAE, System Simulation, and Mechatronics/Robotics within Corporate Digital Technology (CDT) at Kalbe Group. Specializing in structured digitalization and simulation-led optimization, Tirta is responsible for leading the simulation-based digital twin ecosystem and working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovation. A notable achievement during his tenure was orchestrating 4 cross-functional innovation teams that led 2 teams to become finalists (top 10), while the other 2 teams won 1st and 2nd place at the Kalbe Group Innovation Convention 2025, translating R&D into recognized business value.

Genta Gemilang
Engineering co-lead, digital twin
Genta, as an Engineering Co-Lead and IoT & Mechatronics Engineer, dedicates his expertise to the Corporate Digital Technology (CDT) department. Specializing in IoT and robotics solutions, he integrates hardware devices, microcontroller systems, and communication protocols to drive digital transformation, while also crafting scalable embedded system architectures and applying advanced signal processing techniques. Additionally, acting separately as a CAD Engineer, Genta provides dedicated support for digital twin development by designing precise 3D models and generating complex geometries tailored for CAE simulations. His collaborative work with cross-functional teams has supported digital healthcare initiatives and the development of innovative systems.
Abdurrahman Raeva Rizaldi
CAE Engineer, cfd specialist
Raeva, as a CAE Engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the Discrete Element Method (DEM), focuses on leveraging advanced simulation techniques to drive system optimization and performance improvement. His current work centers on enhancing engineering processes through high-fidelity CFD analysis, including projects such as Eulerian-Lagrangian system optimization and homogeneous mixing studies using CFD. Utilizing OpenFOAM as his primary simulation tool, Raeva develops accurate, data-driven models to analyze fluid behavior and particle interactions, enabling more efficient and reliable system designs. Through his expertise, he contributes to improving operational efficiency, refining product performance, and supporting innovation in engineering applications.

Daniel, as both an Embedded Systems & Mechatronics Engineer and a CAE Engineer, dedicates his dual expertise to bridging the gap between physical hardware and advanced digital simulation. While specializing in IoT and mechatronics integration, he also focuses on leveraging CFD to drive system optimization and performance improvement. His current work centers on enhancing engineering processes through high-fidelity analysis, including projects such as Eulerian-Lagrangian system optimization and homogeneous mixing studies. Utilizing OpenFOAM as his primary simulation tool, Daniel develops accurate, data-driven models to analyze fluid behavior and particle interactions. Through this unique combination of control systems and CFD expertise, he contributes to improving operational efficiency, refining product performance, and supporting innovation across complex engineering applications.

As a CAE Engineer at Kalbe Digital Twin, Tio specializes in high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using OpenFOAM. Tio's core focus is on mesh optimization, where he leverages tools like snappyHexMesh, cfMesh, polyDualMesh, and blockMesh to refine complex geometries, ensuring a critical balance between grid independence and computational convergence. By managing the end-to-end simulation workflow, from sophisticated meshing to solver execution, Tio provides the data-driven insights necessary to optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and maintain rigorous production standards.
