Risman Adnan
Digital technology Director

Risman Adnan received the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. in theoretical physics, and the Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Universitas Indonesia, in 1998, 2000, and 2021, respectively. Starting in 2004, he spent ten years as the Director of the Developer Ecosystem at Microsoft Indonesia. He joined Samsung Research and Development Indonesia (SRIN), as the Chief Technology Officer to incubate and nurture AI, IoT, and Cloud technology competencies, in 2014.

He joined Kalbe Digital Lab as the Digital Technology Director in 2023. His research interests include theoretical physics, machine learning, and quantum computing.

Edwin Simjaya
Head of ai & software center

Edwin Simjaya is an AI expert and currently serves as the Head of AI & Software Center. With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and notable achievements in the field, Edwin has established himself as a professional in AI. 

Notably, he led the implementation of an AI Augmented Nutrigenomic Algorithm utilizing Large Language Models (LLM), revolutionizing the field. Additionally, Edwin manages Kalbe Digital University content and implementation and has delivered key projects for internal Kalbe.

Fadinda Shafira
AI Engineer

Fadinda Shafira is an AI Engineer specializing in Bioinformatics at Kalbe Farma. She is deeply passionate about learning, training, and sharing knowledge within the bioinformatics community, particularly within the healthcare domain. Skilled in Deep Learning, CNN, and other Machine Learning techniques, Fadinda has actively contributed to the practical application of Nextflow through initiatives such as developing a series on Nextflow, conducting demonstrations at the University of Indonesia, and reproducing several pipelines. At Kalbe Digital Lab, she has been involved in projects ranging from genomic data analysis to creating educational materials. Fadinda is also the designated person to connect with the Indonesian Genomics Association, planning events to promote Nextflow and enhance its adoption. Her commitment is driven by a desire to empower others through education and practical application.

Shinta R. Hanafia
AI Engineer

Shinta Roudlotul Hanafia is an accomplished AI Engineer at Kalbe Farma, where she plays a pivotal role in the research and development of AI solutions for healthcare. She is a tutorial presenter at the 20th Pacific Rim International Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Starting in 2024, Shinta began learning various bioinformatics platforms, focusing on reproducing pipelines. She also serves as a teaching assistant in the Bioinformatics class at the University of Indonesia, involved in learning, teaching, and evaluating student exams. Her research interests include Polygenic Risk Scores.
